Statement from GELC

Lacrosse Canada has announced upcoming rule changes for the 2026 season, including the adoption of the World Lacrosse Rulebook, with age and stage modifications for minor lacrosse.

As shared by our LGB, the Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council (GELC), these changes must still be reviewed by the Alberta Lacrosse Association (ALA) to determine how they will apply within Alberta.

*No changes are currently in effect for Sherwood Park Titans Lacrosse.

The ALA has confirmed that Lacrosse Canada will be hosting a virtual information session to review these updates:

In addition, the ALA has provided access to rule materials and a feedback form to allow members to submit questions and input.
