Executive Director - Sherwood Park Titans Lacrosse Association
Position: Part-Time (Approx. 25-30 hours/month)
Contract: One-Year, $1,000/month
Location: Sherwood Park, Alberta (Remote)
Reports To: President and Vice-President of the Sherwood Park Titans

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for lacrosse and community engagement? The Sherwood Park Titans Lacrosse Association (SPTLA) is seeking an enthusiastic Executive Director to help grow and inspire our vibrant lacrosse community. This exciting part-time role offers the opportunity to drive the success of our programs, empower athletes, and engage with passionate coaches, parents, and stakeholders.

About the Role:

As the Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Sherwood Park Titans. You will be the key point of contact for the association, ensuring smooth program delivery, fostering relationships with members, and promoting lacrosse throughout Sherwood Park. Your leadership will be instrumental in building a thriving, engaged community that supports our athletes and coaches at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the SPTLA, ensuring efficient and effective program delivery. Regularly update and manage the Titans website and use digital platforms (newsletters, emails, social media) to engage with our community. Update policies and procedures to ensure best practices and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with athletes, coaches, officials, community groups, and partner organizations to enhance the overall experience for all involved.
  • Financial Management: Assist in managing the annual budget, process financial data, and support fundraising efforts to sustain and grow the organization.
  • Advocacy & Community Outreach: Champion the interests of the Sherwood Park Titans by collaborating with local sports organizations, government agencies, and other community groups to elevate lacrosse in the region.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or leadership role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and comfortable with digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and budgeting.
  • Passion for community involvement and the sport of lacrosse.
  • Knowledge of not-for-profit organizations is a plus.
