The GELC executive and Board of Directors are pleased to provide an opportunity in these difficult times for children interested in playing lacrosse thru the fall and winter months an opportunity to play. 

They are offering children 10u thru to 17u the opportunity to play on teams entered into Cohort divisions at each level.

Play will commence the Week of October 24th and will end the week of January 30th. Facilities being used will be in Beaumont, Leduc, Spruce Grove and St. Albert.

 

GELC Winter League 2020

Any Competitive Introduction in training Coach may submit a team to play in any division of the GELC winter league.  Only one additional coach may be included in the team, who must have appropriate training for the level of play.

Season Teams will play four on four lacrosse in accordance with the ALA regulations. Regulation 16

 Teams will consist of 9 runners, 1 goalie and 2 coaches

4 teams, and 2 officials will make up the cohort group that will compete in the divisions listed below.

Teams will participate in 24 half hour games, played two games per session once per week. One additional final games for top two teams in the cohort group will be played.

 Games will be played in Beaumont,and potentially Leduc ,Spruce Grove and St. Albert.

Players

Individual players expressing interest will be placed on a list for the appropriate division and the GELC will create a team where enough players are registered, or the names and contact information of coaches looking for players in a specific division will be provided to the families looking for a team to participate on.

Age Divisions - Maximum 4 teams per age group and division on a first come basis. Once a division is full any additional teams will be placed on a waiting list until an additional cohort group can be formed.

Cost and Registration Information:

Team registration deadline October 5th.with payment of team fee of $2,000.00 due with registration.

Player registration deadline will be the 18th of October.
