When does the season start and end?

This year the league season begins in mid-April and ends mid July. (if AHS /Provincial restrictions are at the appropriate stage.)

There are no Provincials this season.  ALA cancelled these due to Covid-19 restrictions.

There are no A team evaluations at this time.  We will be investigating possible showcase events or other potential advanced levels of competition if allowed.

Where do games and practices take place?

We are members of the GELC (Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council). Team practices take place in Strathcona County. Games are scheduled at facilities in Strathcona County, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc, St. Albert, Spruce Grove/Stony Plain, and (for select teams) Westlock.

What days of the week/times will my child play?

Except in the U6 and U8, games are not scheduled for 'set' days or times. Our game schedule is set by the GELC at the start of the season. For Mini-Tyke and Tyke, games generally will fall on a week night, in the early evening, at locations closest to 'home'. The schedule for the 2021 season will be set once registration numbers determine how many teams can be formed, and if AHS /Provincial restrictions are at the appropriate stage.

Can I use my hockey equipment?

First time players can use several pieces of their hockey equipment.  Helmet (with a cage) gloves, chest/shoulder pads, elbow pads.  It is recommended to use lacrosse equipment for the higher levels.

A full equipment list is on our webpage.

Can I request to have my child placed on a particular team?

We do not take requests for player placement on any level u10 and higher.   We will take reciprocal friend requests for u6 and u8 only.

We will make every effort to form fair, balanced teams based on the number of registrations we receive and the skill level of players involved.

How do I pay the registration fees?  Registrations are closed March 31, 2021.

Currently due to the split payment option.  Payment options are limited to Credit Card* online.   IF you have volunteers credits to use, please contact the Registrar before completing the registration.

Registration payment info.

An initial non-refundable payment of $50** is due upon registration:  This will ensure team placement once competition is permitted by AHS, and grant you access to all pre-season socially distanced training that is currently permitted.

This $50 payment is non-refundable as it is required by ALA (Alberta Lacrosse Association) to fulfill the registration and insurance guidelines. The ALA insurance requirements must be met for any player to be allowed on the floor.

There will be 3 subsequent payments charged to your credit card for the remainder of your registration fee; April 15th, May 15th and June 15th.  These payments will not be charged if restrictions are reintroduced or the season is cancelled.  This should negate the need for any refunds to be processed.  If restrictions cancel the season, refunds will be pro-rated and as per Titans registration policy as needed.

Contact the registrar@sherwoodparktitans.ca  for assistance.

 * A 3% processing fee will be added to your credit card on all registrations.

**$50 Deposit Payment (non-refundable) must be received to access any floor times, no exceptions.

If you have any questions please email the registrar@sherwoodparktitans.ca

For insurance purposes, no player is allowed on the floor if deposit $50 payment has not been received.

Registrations may still be accepted after March 31, 2020, space permitting. But these registrations will be waitlisted if the teams are full.
